The GRT-Mars Group began in 1964 as a distributor of electronic components. As the business grew, we began helping our customers to source custom components and assemblies overseas, where we had established a network of contacts.
Over the years this portion of the business expanded, and now dwarfs the original distributorship. In addition to outgrowing distribution, we have also outgrown electronics. While still supplying custom pc board assemblies and components, we now source across all industries and manufacturing processes.
Some of our non-electronic products include buckles, zippers, snaps, needles, bags, motors, gearboxes, complete consumer products, and more.
The key to our business is that our customers get overseas pricing with domestic convenience. We handle all importing costs, paperwork, and currency issues. You buy product as if you were buying it from New Jersey.
But we do more than just paperwork for your product. Our facility includes a complete incoming quality control process and full engineering staff (both electronic and mechanical) to assist in product design.
Because of the volume of product that we import we have staff continuously rotating to our offshore facilities to maintain our high standards. We have been working with most of our suppliers for over a decade.
